LaGrange Park
Known the city of roses and as LaGrange's sister community, LaGrange Park is a well-kept gem offering just as many comforts as its next-door neighbor. Originally settled by farmers in 1892, LaGrange Park didn't experience noticeable growth until after World War II, and the styles of homes represent many periods of residential development. The historic area along Ogden Avenue boasts lovely older homes, while there are plenty of beautiful newer homes nearby.

LaGrange Park's contemporary library is one of the newest in the area - a big plus for avid readers and families with children. In Memorial Park near the library, LaGrange Park residents enjoy summertime outdoor concerts perched on a grassy hill. Other community events include annual Easter egg hunts, farmers' markets, the Rose Show, and the 5K Run for the Roses held each May.

The Village Market, one of the first strip-shopping malls in the Chicagoland area, offers a variety of interesting retail stores, and the town is dotted with antique stores. Residents also have immediate access to nearby LaGrange's charming downtown, as well as its two Burlington Northern train stations, which are within walking distance. Other modes of transportation are easily accessible to LaGrange Park residents. By car, the Stevenson (I-55) and Eisenhower (I-290) expressways, as well as the Tri-State Tollway (I-294) are close. Also, Pace bus service is available, and O'Hare and Midway airports are less than a 30-minute drive away.

The village's six parks offer year-round programming, and the Salt Creek Forest Preserve has picnic areas and paved biking and walking paths that lead to Brookfield Zoo. Serious bikers can ride the full path from Western Springs to the Zoo entrance.

Children in LaGrange Park attend grade school Districts 95 and 102, and high school students attend Districts 204 and 208.
